shock me.

well, we are as shocked as everyone we tell . . . seems as though God's plan and ours weren't exactly the same. Hopefully, they are now!



It's been crazy around here and it doesn't seem be getting better just yet. In the last month, I lost my job, we found out we were prego, bought a newer car and Luke lost his job. Please pray for our family! We have faith in God that everything will be just fine!

We spent last weekend in St Louis, Missouri. Originally, we were going to be spending the weekend away with Luke's brother and his wife. Then last minute, Sam had some medical issues and wasn't able to come after all. From there our plans changed close to a million times and our stress levels skyrocketed! We contemplated not going at all but decided that we needed a weekend away together and sailed out of town Emily & Brandon early Saturday morning. I have always loved road trips and I think the one down there was one of the my favorites. We spent the 4 hour trip talking with our best friends.

When we arrived we met up with Drew, Selena, Jeremy, & Sky for lunch at a non-Italian restaurant. The food wasn't too bad, but calling it Italian isn't completely truthful. But it made for nice jokes. We spent the afternoon walking around and relaxing. That night we were off to Park, Mock Orange and The Forecast. It was amazing! It was so great to see so many friends we haven't hung out with in years and I still am shocked we stayed out til 4am. We ended up sleeping on the Bickel's & Loving's hotel room floor. Poor Brandon was sick all night and day- so we left with the Bickel's around noon. Grabbed lunch at the St Louis Union Station and headed home. It was a wonderful break from our normal routine.
