Dr Pepper Addiction: under control!
About a month ago, I went off cold turkey. The first THREE days were a total nightmare. I was cranky, mean and irritable. The headaches were relentless and I just wanted to sleep.
Day four, something miraculous happened. I didn't feel like I needed it. I didn't even feel like I wanted it. Day Five, we went to Red Robin. Luke and I were talking about how in reality it's okay to have a Dr Pepper every now and then- just not 5 a day. So, I ordered one. And it was super sweet!
This past week, I have caught myself many times wanting to enjoy more than I should. I typically allow myself 1 a day. But may need to cut back to just the weekends. It's refreshing after a long day or a stressful one - but there is a very thin line between enjoying one and relying on one. That's the line I am trying to find now.
